For the first time in ages, there are no players watching from the sideline as the Redskins practiced. That’s the condition a coach wants his team to be in heading into the season opener.
Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (stomach), cornerback Carlos Rogers (CALF), linebacker London Fletcher (foot) and safety Kareem Moore (hamstring) all returned today and should be ready for the Giants. Running back Clinton Portis (ribs) and guard Randy Thomas (calf), who practiced last week but didn’t play in the Sept. 3 preseason finale at Jacksonville, were also on the field and will start.
