The Washington Times - March 16, 2011, 12:28PM

Late tonight Georgetown will finally learn whether it will face USC or VCU in the NCAA Tournament Friday.

USC and VCU meet at 9 p.m. tonight in Dayton, Ohio, in a First Four game. The winner is the No. 11 seed.

Last weekend’s brief suspension of USC coach Kevin O’Neill after an altercation with an Arizona booster has overwhelmed other storylines. On Tuesday, O’Neill denied having a drinking problem. The Los Angeles Times recapped the situation, which dominated conversation at the pregame press conferences.

Columns from the Los Angeles Times and from the last few days tackled O’Neill’s outburst.

Regarding the actual game, the Richmond Times-Dispatch profiled VCU standout Jamie Skeen and recapped Selection Sunday. The Springfield Times-Sun recalls VCU coach Shaka Smart’s Dayton connections. And here’s another interesting piece, where USC compares VCU to Washington and VCU compares USC to Old Dominion.
