Most Americans will never forget the September 11, 2001 attacks, but MSNBC has. An April 5, 2011 piece on the MSNBC web site by NBCWashington writer Chris Gordon, entitled “D.C. Fire Chief Suggests More Inclusive Logo,” discusses changing the “DCFD” logo the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services uses to something more inclusive for the benefit of EMS personnel. But the article says the firefighter’s union believes “DCFD” is “a strong brand recognized by the public, especially after the heroic actions of first responders on Sept. 9, 2001.”
Yes, not to mention the other heroic actions that took place two days later.
