News Corporation CEO Rupert Murdoch and his son James testified before British MP’s at a Parliamentary hearing on Tuesday about the Murdochs’ knowledge regarding the hacking of cell phones by individuals who were paid by former News Corp. employees at the now defunct News of the World publication.

During the hearing, which was open to the press and the public, the elder Murdoch was rushed by a protester who smashed a container full of shaving cream into Mr. Murdoch’s face. Mr. Murdoch’s wife, Wendi, jumped up to protect her husband and swiftly smacked the attacker on the head. Sources at Sky News have reported that the protester is a British comedian.

Since the outburst, the press and public has been banned from the hearing and Mr. Murdoch was later apologized to for the incident by one of the British MP’s in the hearing before the hearing went into a break.
