Amidst a frenzy of suggested Twitter questions for President Barack Obama to answer this afternoon at his Twitter townhall, Congressman Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican and author of the GOP budget plan, tweeted out a challenge to the president:

#AskObama Fearmongering won’t solve our debt crisis. Americans deserve a real debate. You pick: when and where? #2Futures

Rep. Ryan also tweeted to the president: “Senate hasn’t passed a budget in 798 days. House passed plan 2 lift debt&spur job creation–what is your jobs plan?” House Speaker John Boehner, Ohio Republican, and Rep. Darrell Issa, California Republican and House Oversight Committee Chairman, also went after Mr. Obama today in their respective official Twitter accounts.

Congressman Ryan was involved in the televised health care legislation meeting in February of 2010 at the Blair House with President Obama and other political leaders from both Parties before Democrats passed the health care bill into law. Congressman Ryan is often talked about as a possible presidential or vice-presidential candidate in the future.
