Marty Martell, 96 rests his hand on Denney Seamster, 100, as they discuss their friendship and their experiences while serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. Martell and Seamster became friends when Martell volunteered through the Friendship Core to spend time with Seamster. The volunteer-based Friendship Core provides friendly visits to people who don't have many visitors, or are living alone and looking for socialization.
