JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Jackson man has appealed his convicted in the 2010 shooting death of a deliveryman to the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

The case is among dozens the Appeals Court will consider during its May-June term. It will not hear oral arguments. A decision may be issue later this year.

Benne Gunn was sentenced in 2012 in Hinds County to life in prison without parole.

Gunn also was sentenced to more than 100 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carjacking, aggravated assault and armed robbery in a separate incident.

Prosecutors say Gunn and Dante Evans fatally shot William Morris, who was making a delivery to a convenience store on Sept. 10, 2010.

Evans pleaded guilty and is serving a sentence of life without parole.
