ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - An Orlando police officer is recovering after authorities say he was bitten by two dogs.

Police say two officers were responding to a disturbance call at an Orlando apartment complex Monday when the unidentified officer was attacked by two pit bulls.

Authorities said the officer was forced to shoot. One dog received a gunshot wound and was taken to an animal hospital. The other dog ran away.
