Russia’s full-scale war on NATO’s eastern front is of major relevance to America and both its major political parties. Russia has killed more than 8,000 Ukrainians, seized Crimea, Donbas, part of Georgia and more. The mainstream media and some Americans are ignoring Vladimir Putin’s war on NATO’s eastern front, and this is hard to excuse.

Four NATO battalions are hopefully going to the eastern front to be a tripwire in the event Mr. Putin attacks. The many endangered countries in the region are terrified and desperate of some sign of help from NATO. Funded by Congress and approved by President Obama, a rotated battalion is a token, albeit a small one, of America becoming serious about the Putin threat.

More than 12 million concerned American voters of Polish, Ukrainian, Baltic and other European ancestry are going to vote come November, and their votes are at stake. A tidal wave of angry, pro-Ukraine freedom voters may turn against Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, depending on how these candidates stand up to Russia.Whichever candidate refuses to help Ukraine, Poland, Estonia et al. may lose voters and possibly the election. It is best for America to finally show leadership against the bully Mr. Putin instead of watching as he invades, enslaves, pillages and destroys countries and people around the globe.
