Do you remember when gas prices first began to soar under the poor decision-making of President Biden? The nation was up in arms! We were posting pictures of overpriced gas receipts and speaking out against the poor leadership and management.

But then it happened. We became the boiled frog.

Now, when we go to the gas pump, the prices are high and getting higher, but the difference is that we got used to it … and to a new level of government overreach.

The Biden administration turned up the heat just enough for us to not notice the temperature and then turned it down so we got comfortable. Now, they are slowly increasing the heat again, but we don’t complain because at least it’s not as bad as it was.

That’s because we’ve settled into a “new normal” – a level that we swore we’d never allow in the past. And the government repeats this strategy over and over until they erode our God-given freedoms.

It’s not just in gas prices, because at the end of the day, is that really the hill to die on? No.

But, this administration has pushed the envelope in more horrific areas like parental rights, freedom of speech, and gender identity. These areas are damaging and have a lasting impact on our families and culture.

Parental rights went from “parents are the primary authority to lead, teach and develop their children.” Then the government turned up the heat to “only experts can teach our children effectively.” Now, we’re the boiled frog with “parents shouldn’t be teaching their children at all.”

And the temperature keeps rising as state and federal governments proclaim they know what’s best for children. Your parent doesn’t affirm your gender? That’s child abuse according to California. You parents won’t use your preferred pronouns? Schools can grant you a new name and identity and parents will be none the wiser in New York City, Virginia, Los Angeles, and Chicago school districts.

That’s a long way from where we started.

Freedom of speech has been a long-protected bedrock of our nation, so vital it was enshrined as the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. But, the temperature in the pot changed and free speech was twisted to shut down any and all opposing viewpoints that don’t align with “cultural norms.” We’re asked to not only be quiet about truth but also to affirm the delusions of an unhealthy and unhappy culture.

Here’s the saddest part: Christians within this nation have the answers to finding hope, life, joy, and peace. Yet, we’re the ones being asked to be quiet and we’re the ones being told we’re delusional.

Think about it, if you were the devil and saw people hurting and wanted them to stay in their pain, depression, anxiety, and confusion, then you’d do exactly what the secular, godless, and most often liberal democrat agenda has done. They try to choke out the voice of the parents, Christians, and pastors so that people have no access to truth, hope, and healing.

This Independence Day, it’s time to reclaim these God-given freedoms.

Do not back down from speaking the truth even when it’s uncomfortable or even if you’re persecuted for it. With government policies that make life more difficult, keep raising your voice and reaching out to current politicians and work to elect leaders who are God-fearing and going to bring Biblically-based wisdom to the nation. Support and elect leaders that believe in parental rights as primary and superseding the government.

Take a stand for parental rights and make the sacrifices needed to remove your children from those atmospheres that will infect them with godless agendas.

Make a decision to love all people, but only affirm what is truth. There’s no love in affirming someone’s delusion and confusion. If we love people, we will stand up for the truth. Only the truth will set people free.

America’s freedom was built on these principles of truth – derived from the Bible. Take a stand for freedom by taking your stand on The Truth!
