OPINION:
I was not surprised to hear that the American citizens being evacuated from Israel are being made to repay the government for this service. (Forget the fact that war has broken out, due in no small part due to the many failures of the Biden administration.)
If you’re an illegal immigrant crossing our southern border, on the other hand, you get free transportation wherever you want, health care and accommodations in five-star hotels. All on the American taxpayers’ dime.
While the Biden administration and the United Nations pour billions into the Palestinian Authority — money that goes to arming and training Hamas — Israel lives every day under the specter of attack.
President Biden even just made $6 billion available to Iran. That money should be confiscated and used to reimburse Israel for the rebuilding it must now undertake.
Mr. Biden can talk all he wants about his support for Israel, but actions speak louder than empty words. Doing away with former President Donald Trump’s policies of cutting off funding to the Palestinians and firm actions against Iran have paved the way for the situation we are in now.
It’s time for the Biden administration to act on behalf of the American people and our allies.
