Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was taken to a hospital in Washington on Tuesday for an allergic reaction, the department said.
“She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering,” spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said.
CNN, which first reported the hospitalization, said she was taken by ambulance.
