Daryl Hall, half of the former musical duo Hall & Oates, disclosed on social media Tuesday that he had recently undergone a kidney transplant.
“I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor. It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success! I should be back to normal in a few months,” Mr. Hall, 79, wrote in his post.
The artist, known with former musical partner John Oates for songs including “She’s Gone,” “Out of Touch,” “Maneater” and “Rich Girl,” did not say why he needed a kidney transplant.
Mr. Hall also said that he would be getting back to music and his “Daryl’s House” shows, which can be found on YouTube.
