States that are touched by the Rocky Mountains have a higher chance of experiencing snow this Christmas, according to national meteorological forecasts.

Forecasting service AccuWeather reported that parts of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming have a higher probability of seeing not just snow falling on Christmas Day, but of the precipitation sticking to the ground this holiday season.

Other areas of the country with traditionally strong chances of enjoying a White Christmas are the upper Midwest and the upper Northeast.
