One of Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins’ district offices was defaced with red paint on the eve of the election, the second time this campaign season that location was vandalized.

Vandals used red paint to write “BLOOD on her HANDS” on the sidewalk just outside of the Biddeford, Maine office on Monday night.

“This is so unacceptable,” Ms. Collins told CBS News on Tuesday. “It’s unfair to my caseworkers who are working there. And fortunately, they refuse to be intimidated by this, and the office is open and doing business today.”

Ms. Collins, whom Democrats are trying to unseat in Tuesday’s election, said the location is not associated with her Senate campaign. It is one of six district offices in Maine where her congressional staff conduct constituent service work.

“It’s always there, helping people with problems with Social Security or Veterans Benefits or the IRS,” she said.

The Biddeford office was also vandalized in September, with the phrase “Trump whore” spray-painted in red on the door.
