Four pledges at Texas State University were arrested for hazing after an 18-year-old was found screaming for help in a pickup truck with his mouth taped shut.
San Marcos, Texas, police officers received calls about the men, who forced the 18-year-old into the truck Tuesday night.
Police found the vehicle at an apartment complex in San Marcos, and four Phi Delta Theta pledges — Wyatt Carr, 18, Tyler Fogg, 18, William Oldner, 19, and Noah Lara, 20 — were taken into custody. The man who was forced into the truck is a fraternity member.

Russell Wilde, the public safety spokesman for the city of San Marcos, said the men arrested were taking part in a “tradition” that was part of their fraternity initiation. The four men were arrested on misdemeanor hazing charges.
A spokeswoman for the general headquarters of the fraternity said the organization is aware of the incident.
“Upon learning of the matter, Phi Delta Theta began gathering information and is working closely with the university and local law enforcement,” she said in a statement. “The fraternity will continue to cooperate fully throughout the investigation.”
