Florida Republicans redrew the state’s congressional map this year in a rare mid-decade redistricting.

The new lines moved the Gulf Coast district north and made it about one point more Republican, based on President Trump’s 2024 margin of about 13 points there.

Democrats have called the map a gerrymander. Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, said it better reflects the state’s makeup.

Despite the tight race, Ms. Luna said she is honored to have been reelected.

“In politics there is no participation trophy. There are only winners and losers. And today, I won,” she said on social media.
