Tommy Robinson, the British anti-immigration activist, was found guilty Wednesday of harassing two British journalists.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was charged last year with harassing two journalists from The Daily Mail; he denied the charges.
Robinson’s sentencing will be Dec. 16. In Britain, harassment can carry a sentence of up to 10 years behind bars.

An outspoken critic of Islam and Muslim immigration in Britain, Robinson’s charges stem from riots that took place in England in August 2024, when a stabbing attack killed three girls. The attacker was falsely identified as a Muslim immigrant but was actually a British citizen born in Wales.
Robinson made multiple posts about the attack, saying in one missive, “People need to rise up.” That same month, The Daily Mail published a story about him being on vacation at the time with his family while he was posting about the riots. The article included photos of his family.
In the wake of the article, its authors say that Robinson and his followers harassed and threatened them online.
“I’m not threatening you with violence or anything like that,” Robinson said at the time in a voicemail to The Daily Mail’s editor. “What I’m promising you is I’ll make you famous and your families because that’s what you’ve done to me.”
