Waiting out the rain

← return to D1SCOURSE

It looked like a solid enough day – a single practice, set for 3:30 p.m. It even looked like all would be done around CP by 7 (at least for folks like me).

Then practice was pushed to 4 p.m.

Then all of Maryland’s players scampered off the field as storm clouds hovered overhead.

That was an hour ago. And so the wait is on to see if the Terps will get their session in today.

Or, if as one player joked while running off, they’ll try to do a three-a-day tomorrow.

Something tells me that in 40-plus years as a coach, Ralph Friedgen has done one of those at some point.

So not a whole lot to report from College Park. At least for now.

(EDIT at 5:11 p.m.: Just got word Maryland is eating dinner and will try to be back on the field around 6:30. Looks like it’s going to be long one here).
