Corey reports from New York that it’s pretty clear that Alex Ovechkin will play for the Caps on Tuesday against the New York Rangers.

Ovechkin, of course, played it coy with reporters, saying: “We’ll see tomorrow.”

But Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau was more straigtforward when asked if Ovechkin was playing: “As of today, he is.”

And, if Monday’s practice is any indication, Ovechkin will play up front on the power play instead of on the point.

Other injuries of note: David Steckel left practice after blocking a shot with his foot, and he’s questionable for tomorrow’s game. Boudreau, meanwhile, doesn’t expect Milan Jurcina nor Boyd Gordon to play.
