Mitt Romney’s presidential camp said Friday that the money continues to flow into the presumptive GOP nominee’s campaign coffers in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld most of President Obama’s controversial health care law.

The former Massachusetts governor has pulled in $4.6 million over the last 24 hours and also seen his popularity surge on Facebook.

“Voters realize that the urgency of this election has become even more urgent,” Andrea Saul, a campaign spokeswoman, said in an email blast. “Not only have we had an overwhelming amount of donations, Gov. Romney has also had more Facebook engagements and added more than three times the amount of Facebook followers as President Obama, despite President Obama starting with a Facebook list of over 27 million people to our over 2 million people.”

Ms. Saul said that the campaign received more than 47,000 campaign donations and also had 28,000 new users on Facebook, compared to 9,000 for the president.

Mr. Obama, though, leads in the overall Facebook box score. The Democrat has snagged more than 27 million “likes” and more than 949,000 “talking about this,” while Mr. Romney has tallied more than 2.1 million “like”s and more than 467,000 “talking about this.”

Mr. Romney signaled Thursday that he plans on making the election a referendum on the health care law, urging voters to recognize that if they want to scrap what he calls “Obamacare,” they must remove Mr. Obama.
