Tea Party leader denounces immigration bill as GOP suicide

Lashing out at the bipartisan immigration framework that lawmakers floated Monday on Capitol Hill, the leader of Tea Party Nation said that Republicans are committing “political suicide” and “paying Democrats for the privilege of killing themselves.”

Judson Phillips, of Tea Party Nation, said that the Republicans members of the so-called “Gang of Eight” — Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Marco Rubio of Florida — are selling out America with a promise of additional border security will never come to fruition.

“Twenty-five years from now, the border will not be any more secured than it is today,” Mr. Phillip said. “Someone needs to tell the GOP to buy a clue. Creating 15 to 20 million new Democrat voters is not going to get more Republican voters. Democrats are once again laughing as the Republicans hand them victory.”
