Taking credit for firing rockets from Egypt into Israel recently, the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas claimed that the Israelis destroyed government buildings on the Gaza strip, reports Reuters. At the same time Israel’s missile defense known as the “Iron Dome” shot down a Tel Aviv bound rocket on Saturday.

In the meantime, Ofir Gendelman, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesperson to the Arab media, tweeted out early Saturday morning that “at least 22 foreign nationals” cannot leave Gaza and enter Israel, because Hamas is not allowing them to do so: (H/T Twitchy)

Gendelman also tweeted out that Hamas is not allowing two Turkish Red Crescent workers to leave Gaza into Israel:

As rockets continue to strike Israel for a fourth day, the Israeli government is getting ready to deploy 16,000 reservists for a ground invasion into Gaza. According to the Wall Street Journal:

The massing of the forces—especially the reservist call-ups—marks a major commitment by Israel’s government, raising expectations for an assault on Palestinian militants even as the Israeli military could still pull back if a last-minute cease-fire is reached.
