BALTIMORE —- It’s a gorgeous day at Homewood Field, and maybe —- just maybe —- it’s the day Navy ends its 35-game losing streak to Johns Hopkins.

Navy will be without attackman Tim Paul (ankle) for the second straight game, and there is still hope he will be back for next weekend’s Patriot League tournament.

Meanwhile, Johns Hopkins is continuing its annual in-state closing flourish. The Blue Jays already got Maryland last week, and still have Towson, Mount St. Mary’s and Loyola to go.

If Navy can handle Hopkins’ offensive balance, this has the look of a tight game. Otherwise, the Blue Jays might be able to put up something similar to the 12-5 and 10-4 victories of last season.
