Greetings from College Park, where spring practice session No. 13 wrapped up a little bit ago.

We’ll get to hear from Ralph Friedgen in a little bit, but there was a nugget from practice that was interesting.


Injured tailback Da’Rel Scott (knee) was there as part of the Green Jersey Brigade and he was carrying around a crutch with him.

That’s right. Scott twirled the crutch and used it as a pointer a whole lot more than he actually used it. Think of it as just a really unwieldy baton for the former track star.

So while that eyeball test isn’t exactly giving the injury the Dr. House treatment, it would seem Scott’s injury indeed isn’t the sort of thing people should mention very much past this Saturday’s spring game.
