Clearly, the NFL Draft is its own animal, a two-day festival that enthuses football fans before the drudgery of mini-camps and offseason workouts unfold.

But what of the days just after the draft? Chances are, it’s a time for some folks to restock their wardrobe.

With former teammate Darrius Heyward-Bey going to his beloved Oakland Raiders, you just know quarterback Chris Turner will be sporting a Hey-Bey jersey before long. He’d promised that months ago and re-iterated it after the spring game.

With Turner, it makes sense. He rocked a Darren McFadden jersey a couple times last season, and would also amble into the interview room with one of a handful of soccer jerseys from around the globe.

But really, there’s no telling how many silver and black duds will pop up in the coming months —- even from people not always known for their jersey collections.

“I used to be a Raiders fan,” safety Jamari McCollough said. “I guess I’m going to have to jump back on the bandwagon now.”

McCollough, of course, will want tickets at some point (perhaps when his hometown Ravens visit Oakland on Jan. 3?).

For now, he’s probably already hit up this link.

“I’m getting a jersey. Right away,” McCollough said. “I’m going to get it as soon as they stock it.”

Him and no doubt a few others as well.
