Just a quick rundown of former Maryland quarterback Josh Portis‘ first college start any level.

The athletic signal-caller’s career is back underway at Division II California (Pa.), which lost its opener tonight to Saginaw Valley State 23-17.

Portis completed 14 of 31 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the Vulcans in rushing carrying 12 times for 82 yards.

It’s probably worth noting that in the four seasons since he first arrived at Florida in 2005, he attempted all of 14 passes.
