Regardless of how much heat Maryland coach Gary Williams has taken this season, there’s no question the man was, is and probably will remain a fantastic game coach.

And he just got Roy Williams —- again.

Gary is now 6-6 in his career against Roy, counting a pair of victories while Mr. Frickin’ was at Kansas (you might remember the 2002 semifinals in Atlanta).

Amazingly, Gary also poached five of his 19 victories over top-five opponents while at Maryland at the expense of Ole Roy. That means Roy Williams has almost “caught” Coach K, who has taken six losses as a top-five team to a Gary-coached Maryland team.
