For the first time, Army-Navy is coming to D.C.

Well, not entirely. The 2011 game will technically be in Landover, but for the purposes of the rivalry it will count as Washington.

In any case, it’s the first time a game played primarily in Philadelphia —- but, on other occasions, in Baltimore, New York, East Rutherford, N.J., and Pasadena, Calif. —- will be in the capital area.

The two academies wisely decided to keep five of the next eight games in Philadelphia, while Baltimore will get the game in 2014 and 2016.

This season’s game is Dec. 12 in Philadelphia and was awarded several years ago. Here’s the rundown of the 2010-2017 dates announced today:

December 11, 2010-Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
December 10, 2011-FedExField (Washington)
December 8, 2012-Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
December 14, 2013-Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
December 13, 2014-M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore)
December 12, 2015-Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
December 10, 2016-M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore)
December 9, 2017-Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
