KANSAS CITY, Mo. —- Well, there was always a chance this could happen.

No, Maryland isn’t playing particularly well as it trails Memphis by 20 at the break. But the Tigers are shooting 70.4 percent from the floor, and at some point that has to do with them playing pretty good.

Memphis is 8-for-11 from 3-point land. This was after everybody but Roburt Sallie was 1-for-13 from long-range on Thursday.

Oh, and Greivis Vasquez has six points on 3-for-8 shooting in the first half. So he’s not in for a complete blanking, but he’s also getting outplayed by Tyreke Evans and Doneal Mack.

Dave Neal also has six points for Maryland, which is 20 minutes away from wrapping up a 21-14 season.
