The Maryland women outrebounded Utah 54-24 —- a particularly impressive display against the Jumpshootin’ Utes.
The Terps (30-4) effectively toyed with Utah the final 15 minutes or so, but before then rattled off a dominant 20 minutes to coast into the regional semifinals.
Clearly, Maryland is ready for the non-Comcast Center portion of the NCAA tournament.
Next up is Vanderbilt, which awaits in Saturday’s game at RBC Center in Raleigh.
The Terps got 18 points and 18 rebounds from Marissa Coleman, and 17 points from Kristi Toliver. Dee Liles was a more than effective third option, tossing up 12 points and 15 17 rebounds.
More in a bit.
