Just had a little bit forwarded to me, and it’s probably reasonable well known to the intense lacrosse fans who double as loyal readers.

Still, Maryland supporters should be glad to hear Saturday’s NCAA tournament quarterfinal against Syracuse will make it onto ESPN2 as well as ESPNU.

It’s a smart move by ESPN to keep shuffling a game each weekend of the tournament onto one of its more conventional stations. People get crankier about having to forage for coverage of postseason games, and rightfully so. But at the same time, providing a bit of a taste might be enough to get those people to call their cable provider.

The other three quarterfinals, by the way, remain ESPNU-only productions.
