ANNAPOLIS —- The only good thing that happened to Hopkins today was that it didn’t absorb its worst loss ever.

Besides that, it was pretty much about as bad as could be. It was the worst poistseason margin of defeat in Hopkins history. That isn’t much better.

Virginia just finished off an 19-8 shellacking —- its second in two NCAA tournament games —- to move along to next weekend’s semifinals in Foxboro(ugh).

Next up for the top-seeded Cavaliers: Cornell.

Heading down for postgame now. But, really, it’s just going to be a matter of stating the obvious. Virginia is really, really good, and Hopkins had no answer for the Cavaliers on this particular afternoon.

Really, the thing that will be fun to find out is if anyone will next weekend.
