FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —- Syracuse is up 8-4 at the break, reinforcing the obvious in the process: The Orange have no shortage of offensive options.

There’s senior midfielder Pat Perritt, who has uncorked his first hat trick of the season. And then there’s Cody Jamieson, the junior college transfer whose eligibility saga finally ended about a month ago and has dropped two goals in the first half.

Syracuse hasn’t even needed a ton from Kenny Nims (goal and an assist) and Dan Hardy (assist). But make no mistake, those guys could have a fine second half and make this ugly.

It’s Duke’s largest halftime deficit of the season, and without a jolt at both ends, the Blue Devils will fall short in the final four for the fourth time in five years.
