FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —- Cornell needed to keep ahead of Syracuse to dictate things.

So far, so good for the Big Red, which hasn’t trailed in 13 quarters in the NCAA tournament. Cornell, by the way, is 12-0 when leading after 15 minutes.

John Glynn scored twice while targeting short-stick middies, then fed Ryan Hurley for a goal in the final minute of the quarter. He and defenseman Matt Moyer have looked good so far , with Moyer zapping an Orange offensive chance in the final 10 seconds.

Both Cuse’s John Galloway and Cornell’s Jake Myers both have two saves.

In short, it’s the game Cornell wanted. We’ll see if it holds up.
