A couple interesting numbers to point out from delving through the stats from Saturday’s game.
1. There was exactly one play from scrimmage in the second half that went for longer than 13 yards. Collectively, Clemson and Maryland combined for 143 yards on 66 plays (2.17 yds/play) after the break. The only scores came on a 1-yard drive after a long punt return and C.J. Spiller‘s kickoff return for touchdown.

2. Tommy Galt has now caught 10 of 11 passes thrown his way, the one exception the pass James Madison intercepted and returned for a score. For a short-yardage route, no one has been more sure-handed than the tight end.
