Remember the Portis Package last year? You know, when Maryland tipped off that a running play (and sometimes a false start) was coming by inserting Josh Portis for a snap or two?

The Terps unveiled the newest version of that today. Until I come up with something better, let’s call it the Robinson runaround in honor of Jamarr Robinson, who is now the guy who runs in and out for a spot play here and there.

And here’s how it fared:

Da’Rel Scott 0 run
OFFSIDE on Middle Tennessee
Robinson 3 run, loses fumble

So it’s excusable if this feels a little bit like deja vu. It’s certainly working a lot like the Portis Package did.

In any case, we haven’t seen Robinson since his fumble (or Scott since his, if my notes are right). Your guess is as good as mine if we are to see it again.
