BALTIMORE —- Denver will appear in its first final four in less than an hour, a circumstance that hasn’t worked out for many teams.
Since the NCAA went to a final four weekend format in 1986, 11 teams have reached the semifinals for the first time. Of them, only Princeton in 1992 won a title. Seven fell in the semis.
