An impressive 7.6-million TV viewers tuned in to watch Saturday night’s Republican presidential debate — the most-watched GOP debate this year.
GOP House Speaker John A. Boehner, however, apparently was not one of the 7.6 million.
When a reporter at a news event Monday asked the Ohio Republican if he watched the debate, Mr. Boehner smirked and said, “Saturday night? I don’t think so” — drawing laughter from the assembled media corps.
The speaker didn’t say how he spent the evening.
