Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who the media has accused of dodging their questions and limiting reporter access during his first two weeks in office, is bypassing the press and fielding questions directly from the public via the social media website Twitter.
Scott says he will answer public questions — in no more than 140 characters — Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. Questions can be sent on Twitter to #FLGovScott. The governor’s “Twitter Town Hall” is expected to last about half hour.
No word yet if or when Scott will hold any live, in-person town halls.
