In an email, Doug Sachtleben, her communications director, announced that he’s leaving her office today and that next week he will start to work as the communications director for Rep. John Fleming, Louisiana Republican, who was first elected to Congress in 2008 and serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee.
“I look forward to working with you in my new position,” Sachtleben said. “I leave Rep. Bachmann’s office with nothing but the highest regard for Michele. It has been a pleasure working for her and I continue to admire and appreciate her unwavering conservatism.”
