The leader of a national tea party group said Wednesday that Sen. Ted Cruz’s filibuster is revving up the grass-roots movement by doing something few Republicans do: following through on his campaign promise to do everything he can to get rid of Obamacare.
Amy Kremer, the head of Tea Party Express, said she pulled an all-nighter watching the Cruz-led filibuster that began Tuesday afternoon and concluded Wednesday at noon.

Ms. Kremer showered Mr. Cruz, Texas Republican, and Sen. Mike Lee, Utah Republican, with compliments, saying she has never seen such support for a tea party cause since since the birth of the movement.
“They are relentless in this battle, and it is so refreshing to finally see someone stand up and fight for the American people,” Ms. Kremer said. “These two senators have done more for America in the past 19 hours than most senators have done in their entire careers. They are a fresh breath of air and a ray of sunshine.”
Ms. Kremer said the almost 21-hour filibuster has injected new hope into the tea party movement and confirmed that the RINOs, or “Republicans in name only,” who have run the Senate have “passed their prime.”
“Even though I haven’t slept all night, I am energized and invigorated by the efforts of these constitutional warriors. They have lifted my hopes and given me reason to keep fighting. I will stand with them until they can no longer stand,” she said.
