All over the country summer camps are opening. Some are day camps and some are sleep over camps. But all who participate are bound to have a good time.

Then there are summer camps of the teams of the NFL. I think most will say that these camps are not like the camps I earlier refer to.

The first training camp under Jim Zorn as head coach begins for the players of the Washington Redskins on Monday, July 20. It was a long tradition of summer camps to be held at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. But in recent years, the camps have been at Redskins Park. This is the case again this year. I guess you can say it is more of a day camp than an overnight camp.

The public can attend some of the workouts. But they must bring a Training Camp Fan Invitation which they can fill out online at http://www.redskins.com. There are only a few questions to answer and this will help the Redskins determine how many visitors will be attending practice each day. Again, you need to bring your fan invitations with you because they will be collected when you enter Redskins Park. There is no fee for the invitation or for attending.

Work out dates that are open to the public:

Saturday, July 26 — 2:00 p.m. Intrasquad Scrimmage

Sunday, July 27 — 8:30 a.m. Practice

Monday, July 28 — 8:30 a.m. Practice
