UPI is reporting that New Hampshire lawmaker, State Rep. Timothy Horrigan, is resigning from his seat after he posted his reaction to a Face Book commenter, a Democratic candidate for office, who wished former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston, the father to her grandson, had perished in the plane crash that killed former Alaska Senator Republican Ted Stevens:

A New Hampshire legislator resigned Thursday and apologized for “thoughtless remarks” he made online when he speculated about Sarah Palin’s death.

State Rep. Timothy Horrigan posted the remark on Facebook Wednesday, reacting to an earlier remark by a Democratic candidate for the New HampshireHouse of Representatives. Keith David Halloran had posted a message online saying he wishedPalin, the former Alaska governor, and her daughter’s former boyfriend Levi Johnston, had been on board the plane that crashed Monday, killing former Sen. Teds Stevens, R-Alaska.

“Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one…she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn’t commit any more gaffes,” Horrigan wrote.  read more
