Margaret Penney, the person who has the longest membership of the Wooden Spoons, an all women's social club started by Louise Pound in 1919, takes a bite of ice cream with her wooden spoon during its final gathering on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at US Bank. Penney became a member in 1969. It was tradition in the past to eat meals with the wooden spoons. Although the tradition stopped, Penney takes one bite using her spoon during the final gathering.
