Police said Monday, March 2, 2020, they arrested a second suspect in the San Francisco robbery of an elderly Asian man that was caught on video and posted on social media. Amerson, 56, turned himself in Sunday and was booked for investigation of two counts each of robbery and elder abuse, police said in press release. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
