TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) - Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a Taylorsville home that killed a man early Friday.

Unified Fire Battalion Chief Duane Woolsey tells KLS-TV the man in his late 20s or early 30s was the only person at the home. He says firefighters found him without a pulse and could not revive him.

The man was not immediately identified.

Woolsey says firefighters responded to the blaze around 2:30 a.m., but they believe the fire had been burning for some time.

Woolsey says the house is a total loss. The blaze killed a couple of pets, and a vehicle also caught fire.

Woolsey says police will look into whether there was foul play. He says firefighters found working fire alarms at the home.
