NIH ousts three employees over controversial alcohol study

The National Institutes of Health has ousted three employees who were involved in a highly questioned study of moderate alcohol use, and Director Francis S. Collins said he's determined to prevent other bum studies from moving forward in the future.

5,200 active-duty troops headed to U.S.-Mexico border

The Pentagon announced a massive deployment Monday of military muscle to the U.S.-Mexico border, saying at least 5,200 troops will soon be on the lines helping build fencing, ferry Border Patrol agents to hotspots and provide support as the government braces for the migrant caravan.

Senate tells FBI to investigate Michael Avenatti over Kavanaugh accusations

Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley asked the Justice Department Thursday to investigate anti-Trump lawyer Michael Avenatti and his client Julie Swetnick, saying they likely fed senators "materially false" information by accusing Justice Brett M.
