In addition to the moon rock, Davis claimed she had a nickel-sized piece of the heat shield that protected the Apollo 11 space capsule as it returned to earth from the first successful manned mission to the moon in 1969.
"First, I'm deeply, terribly sorry," the day care's owner, Joann Davis, told ABC while fighting back tears. "I thank God he was OK. ... It was our mistake. I'm not saying it's not ... but the main thing is the baby's OK, and I'm sorry as I can be."
