The Tiger Woods Foundation was established in 1996 by Tiger Woods and his father, Earl Woods, to create and support community-based programs that improve the health, education, and welfare of all children in America. Currently, the foundation has established several programs and events such as the Tiger Woods Learning Center, Start Something (which was re-named Tiger's Action Plan on April 1, 2008), Tiger's Block Party, Chevron World Challenge, AT&T National, and Tiger Jam which all benefit and impact the lives of millions of children. The Target World Challenge, which was most recently changed to the Chevron World Challenge, has a generous purse of $5.75 million dollars. Tiger Woods, who hosts this non-PGA tournament, has won the event three out of the last four years and has gladly donated his winnings to his foundation. - Source: Wikipedia
